I've always enjoyed wearing scarves because they're sassy for styling, highly fashionable, and have their details and personality! Am I right? But, I must admit that my love for scarves has been taken to a whole new level this Summer. I've accessorized with them throughout the summer months, from seeing them as a growing trend to appreciating the vintage scarves I have in my closet and curating for MTYA. I've seen many of you do the same, whether tied around your hair, necks, blouses, purses, or styled as tops.
I'm here to say that the power and boldness of the scarf are here to stay! Whether Summer or Fall, scarves will continue to make their fashionable mark on this world.
When it comes to photoshoots for MTYA, I push myself to go to the next level and challenge myself in the way I choose to style selections. For me, the most significant challenge and push I’ve given myself is when it comes to our favorite new piece – scarves. During one of my recent photoshoots, I wanted to push myself by pairing this 60s inspired orange, brown, and white scarf with this MTYA Crisp White Blouse and Orange Linen Statement Skirt (each is new to the MTYA website!). With each solid selection, I knew that the scarf would serve as the icing on the cake with its groovy detail, bold colors, and statement pattern. From there, I decided to ‘add a cherry’ with a pair of retro faux glasses and orange hoop earrings to bring the entire look to life. Just like this whole look, you can style the same look from the comforts of your home. If you’ve been dying to pull out some of your favorite scarves, do it! Pair them with a simple top and bottom (as pictured), and go from there!
So you enjoy styling your scarf around the neck, I heard? This style is my go-to for the Fall and Winter months when the air can be a bit crisper. As you can see here, I've paired this scarf with a statement two-piece power suit ready for all seasons of the year. Next, I've paired this rainbow polka dot scarf around the model's neck for a bit more fun and boldness. From there, I've added statement accessories, chunky earrings, and let's not forget about the statement apple purse. Again, the scarf is versatile and can be your lifesaver on those rainy or sunshiny days! As before, you can also recreate this look from the comforts of your home by pulling out your favorite statement suit or blazer and pairing those pieces with a scarf that will make you look and feel your best!
